Gofile is committed to providing a safe, lawful, and trusted platform for all users. This policy outlines our comprehensive approach to preventing, detecting, and addressing abusive content across our services.

Our Commitment

At Gofile, we maintain a zero-tolerance stance toward any form of abuse on our platform. We have invested substantial resources into building a robust, multi-layered moderation infrastructure that operates around the clock to protect our users and the broader digital ecosystem. Our approach combines cutting-edge technology with human expertise to ensure that illegal, harmful, or otherwise prohibited content is identified and removed with maximum efficiency.

We believe that a responsible cloud storage provider must go beyond mere legal compliance. We actively strive to set the standard for platform safety within our industry, continuously evolving our policies, tools, and partnerships to stay ahead of emerging threats. Transparency, accountability, and rapid response are the cornerstones of our abuse management framework.

Every member of the Gofile team — from engineering to leadership — shares a collective responsibility to uphold these standards. Our dedicated Trust & Safety division operates independently to ensure that moderation decisions are made objectively, free from commercial influence, and with the sole priority of protecting people.

Prohibited Content

The following categories of content are strictly forbidden on Gofile. This list is not exhaustive and may be updated as new forms of abuse emerge. Users found to be storing, sharing, or distributing any of the following will face immediate enforcement action, including content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, and — where appropriate — referral to law enforcement authorities.

Copyright Infringement

Uploading, downloading, storing, sharing, displaying, streaming, distributing, linking to, transmitting, or otherwise making available any files, data, or content that infringe upon the copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights of any individual or entity. This includes pirated software, unlicensed media, counterfeit goods, and any content used without the express authorization of the rights holder.

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Any content depicting or promoting the sexual exploitation of minors is unconditionally prohibited. This includes images, videos, illustrations, computer-generated content, and any written material of this nature. All detected instances are immediately reported to competent authorities and relevant international organizations.

Terrorism & Violent Extremism

Content that promotes, glorifies, incites, or provides instructional material for terrorism, violent extremism, or acts of mass violence. This includes propaganda, recruitment materials, bomb-making instructions, and any content produced by or in support of designated terrorist organizations.

Malware, Phishing & Cyber Threats

Malicious software of any kind, including viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, spyware, rootkits, keyloggers, and botnet components. Also prohibited are phishing kits, credential harvesting tools, scam pages, and any content designed to compromise the security or privacy of individuals, organizations, or systems.

Hate Speech, Harassment & Blackmail

Content that incites hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Also prohibited are materials used for harassment, stalking, doxing, blackmail, extortion, or any form of targeted intimidation.

Other Illegal Content

Any content that violates applicable local, national, or international laws. This includes — but is not limited to — content related to drug trafficking, human trafficking, weapons sales, fraud, and any material deemed unlawful in the jurisdictions where Gofile operates or where our users reside.

Detection & Prevention

Gofile employs a sophisticated, multi-layered detection infrastructure designed to identify and block abusive content at every stage — from the moment of upload to ongoing storage monitoring. Our systems operate continuously and are regularly upgraded to counter evolving threats.

AI-Powered Scanning

We deploy advanced machine learning models trained on vast datasets to detect patterns associated with abusive content. These models analyze files in real-time, identifying suspicious characteristics before content becomes publicly accessible.

Cryptographic Hashing

We utilize industry-standard perceptual and cryptographic hashing technologies — including PhotoDNA, SHA-256, and MD5 — to match uploaded files against global databases of known abusive content. This enables instant detection and blocking of previously identified material without human intervention.

Behavioral Analysis

Our systems monitor account behavior patterns to detect anomalies indicative of abusive activity. Unusual upload volumes, suspicious sharing patterns, and other behavioral signals trigger automated review workflows for further investigation.

Real-Time Monitoring

Our platform is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Automated alerts, coupled with a dedicated team of moderation specialists, ensure that no report goes unaddressed and no threat goes undetected for longer than absolutely necessary.

Partnerships & Collaboration

We recognize that effective abuse prevention requires collective action. Gofile actively collaborates with a wide network of external organizations to strengthen our moderation capabilities and contribute to broader industry efforts against online abuse.

Our partnerships include collaborations with international non-governmental organizations specializing in child protection, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). We integrate their intelligence feeds and reporting frameworks directly into our moderation pipeline.

We work closely with law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions, responding to lawful requests for information and providing proactive referrals when we identify content that may pose an imminent threat to life or safety. Our team includes designated points of contact trained in handling sensitive law enforcement matters with the urgency and discretion they require.

Additionally, Gofile participates in industry coalitions and information-sharing initiatives alongside other technology platforms, content rights holders, and cybersecurity organizations. Through these channels, we exchange threat intelligence, adopt shared best practices, and contribute to the development of cross-platform solutions that make the entire internet safer.

Reporting Abuse

We encourage anyone who encounters potentially abusive content on Gofile to report it immediately. Every report is reviewed by a human member of our Trust & Safety team, and we are committed to processing all submissions with the seriousness and urgency they deserve.

When submitting a report, please include as much detail as possible — including the specific URL(s) of the content in question, the nature of the violation, and any relevant supporting evidence or context. Comprehensive reports enable us to act more quickly and decisively.

You can submit a report through our dedicated contact page. Reports may be submitted anonymously, although providing contact information allows us to follow up with any questions and notify you of the outcome. We treat all reporter information with the strictest confidentiality.

Enforcement & Takedown

Upon confirmation that content violates our Abuse Policy, we take immediate action. Our enforcement measures are calibrated to the severity, scale, and nature of the violation, and may include one or more of the following:

  • Content Removal: The infringing content is permanently deleted from our servers and all associated links are immediately disabled.
  • Hash Blacklisting: The file's cryptographic hash is added to our global blocklist, preventing any future upload of identical content across all Gofile accounts.
  • Account Suspension: The responsible user account is immediately suspended pending further investigation.
  • Permanent Termination: For severe or repeat violations, accounts are permanently terminated with all associated data purged.
  • Law Enforcement Referral: In cases involving CSAM, terrorism, imminent threats, or other serious criminal activity, we proactively refer the matter — along with all relevant evidence — to the appropriate authorities.

We maintain detailed records of all enforcement actions for accountability and compliance purposes. Our takedown procedures are designed to meet or exceed the requirements set forth by applicable laws and regulations, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.

Important Note on Jurisdiction

The Gofile team can only take action on content hosted on Gofile-owned and operated domains. We are unable to process removal requests for links or content hosted on third-party websites, even if those links were shared through our platform. In such cases, we recommend contacting the hosting provider or relevant authorities directly.

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed upon, or if you have identified any content on our platform that violates this Abuse Policy, we urge you to contact us without delay. We treat every notice with the highest priority and are committed to resolving legitimate concerns as swiftly as possible.

For formal DMCA takedown notices, please ensure your submission includes all elements required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), including a physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or authorized agent, identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and a statement made under penalty of perjury.
